A Very Chilly Reception

Would you ever visit this? It’s the Hotel de Glace, in Quebec, Canada. I found it while searching the Net. Ladies and gentlemen, I think NOW I have seen EVERYTHING! haha! The place is beautiful, like an ice castle, and the colored lights are gorgeous. But golly, I spent six months of the year bundled like that in Upstate New York… why would I want to vacation like that? I like the cooler weather (hate summer), sure… but it feels so good not to have to wear gloves, hats, heavy coats, longjohns, boots… At this hotel, the people have to sleep in bulky sleeping bags!

Isn’t it lovely, though? There’s an incredibly ornate chapel for weddings and parties. It’s pretty impressive, and I think the whole thing is carved from chainsaws! Every year, a new Hotel de Glace is designed and built. It’s usually open until April.

Would you ever stay in one of these? I might, just once, to say I did….

I have heard of this place. How fantastic is that? It’s beautiful. Not sure I would want to stay there, but I sure would like to visit.

Weddings? Ha, a different take on dressing up I guess. I guess heavy parkas and long johns can be dressy

I saw a show on tv about how they build an ice hotel though, I’m not sure if it was in Quebec or not. I definitely would not want to vacation there, beautiful as it is.

It looks so beautiful but I wouldn’t be able to stay. I hate being too cold.
