A lot of my relatives have left New York State. They followed the migration trail to Arizona and North Carolina. I’d never move to those states, but it’s nice to know that I can always travel there and have a free meal or two and a free tour guide. :D They’re homes are too small for our family of six to squeeze in. Hey, there’s always some valuable mountain real estate in Arizona to grab. Arizona is becoming a boom state! Their population is exploding, and the builders are trying to keep up with demand. Show Low Bluff is the latest development to cater to families and individuals, who want to live full-time or part-time there. I’ll bet business will really pick up in a few years, when the Baby Boomers start to retire and look for retirement homes. That is happening in New York already- older people spend their summers in Ny and their winters in a sunnier, warmer state. Truly the area in Arizona is beautiful. I’d love a vacation out that way. Although, I could never live there. It’s just tooooo hot and dusty. I need my New York mountains and trees! But a nice vacation home is so tempting. I’m not very fond of hotel-living (I think they are dirty places), so a sweet little vacation home sounds perfect. Now all I need to do is win the lottery, lol.

  1. Or buy a camper, it’s the way to go. I was stationed at Fort Drum NY for three years (86-89), there we enjoyed the location to its fullest, even the winters. WE lived just outside the base in a town called Calcium NY. Loved it, but I like NC/SC better except in the dead summer.
