Our biggest excursion of the summer of 2006 was to Lake Chalet Campground in Bridgewater, NY. It is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable campgrounds in the area, perhaps in the state. This site has a nice description with great photos.

Friday, August 18th, the kids were stir-crazy, so we loaded up our Igloo cooler with munchies and took a day trip to Chittning Pond in Bridgewater, NY. Chittning Pond is a misnomer, I think. It’s a veritable LAKE. This state fishing park is located west of Bridgewater on Route 20. Admission is free.
