Cruisin’ For a Cruisin’

Well, the holidays are practically over, and it’s time to address the next big thing: escaping the winter! Ha! I like winter and I like the snow (and don’t mind the cold weather, either), but by the end of January, winter’s enchantments are mighty old. Most of New York’s snowbirds take off for literally greener and sunnier pastures about this time.

This is a popular time for Royal Caribbean cruises, especially Bermuda cruises and luscious Caribbean cruises. Direct Line Cruises, the most popular cruise-line agency, is having a terrific deal for those of you who are wishing for warmer temperatures and sunny days. It’s a special treat for us in the Northeast, as the departure port for the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas is in Bayonne, New Jersey. This looks very nice– a 9-night Bermuda cruise (round trip from Bayonne, New Jersey), sailing year-round in 2009, fares starting at just $899 a person.  The price is really right. There’s another deal that begins in April and runs through November 2009: 5-nights in Bermuda, round trip, starting fares at $599. I know I have many readers who enjoy cruises, so you may want to check out more deals at DirectLineCruises.com.

Direct Line Cruises has been in business since 1995. It’s a really neat story of how the company got started– a Long Island housewife took a cruise and fell in love with the experience. She started a small business making cruise reservations with various cruise lines. She became so good at it that her company became known as one of the best for customer service and low rates. Direct Line Cruises is based in Hauppauge, NY, and handles over 25,000 cruise reservations every year, They promise low rates, great service, no sales pressure, no service fees, and free travel insurance. I hope to go on a cruise sometime, and when I do, I’m looking up Direct Line Cruises. Check out the company and the great rates, call 1-800-352-8088 or see DirectLineCruises.com. And here’s hoping your little winter escape is the best yet!
