FFQF: What Washington Said…

Uh, Washington IRVING, that is.
OK OK so he’s not a “founder.” Wah! This is desperation here. I couldn’t find any quote for today from a “real founder.” And… Washington Irving WAS around in the late 1700s/early 1800s! And a lot of the stuff he wrote did become part of our “history” (like George Washington and the Cherry Tree, lol).
So what did Washington Irving say?
A father may turn his back on his child, brothers and sisters may become inveterate enemies, husbands may desert their wives, wives their husbands. But a mother’s love endures through all.
It’s a nice quote. And it’s so true.
I hope you more learned FFQF participants will forgive me my self-license. Honestly, I just couldn’t think of a quote for today! I’ll try to spend some time searchin this week for a “real” one next week. Thanks for reading!

Hey, this is the wrong Washington! But oh well, I understand. It’s a tough meme (this week’s has been tough for me too, Believe It Or Not). So, I’m not mad. And because I chose the meme, I guess I couldn’t be mad if I wanted to be.
But it is a good quote. And so true. Oh wait, I think I just repeated you to yourself!
Well, Happy FFQF!
And yes, thanks for your entry.

Yes, it is a nice quote … if you don’t mind the part about fathers and children and siblings and spouses. Now you’ve got me crying again!
