When I was a kid, we boated down the Canal and through the locks... perhaps in Lockport or thereabouts. It was a pretty neat experience. Get to the locks in Lockport if you get the chance. I also like to travel through Medina. Every June we have Canal Days in Phoenix for the students to learn more about the old days on the Oswego canal.
