My local newspaper had a front page news story about how gasoline prices are keeping many would-be travelers home. People are trying to come up with ways to enjoy the summer within their neighborhood. Sheesh, I’ve been doing that for seven years now! That’s what this blog is all about! :S

We haven’t gone out very much, in large part because of the gasoline prices and because admission prices seem also to have risen. So we’re staying home for now, although some things are in the works. We’re putting a lot more time and energy into the home we’re renovating, and the gardens we’ve been building. It’s a lot of work! I still have yet to finish wiring the house (I do my own electrical wiring). Several rooms upstairs are not wired yet. Home renovations can get out of control financially, so I’m always on the lookout for great deals. That’s why I’m checking out a website called HardwareandTools.com. They have a huge assortment of electrical supply stuff! A gang box may be $1.00, but if I need 50 of them, they can sure add up! It helps to find stuff online at discounted prices. Visit HardwareAndTools.com for their selection and great prices. They are the Internet’s largest hardware store and promise fast shipping. I love hardware stores, so surfing this site is a real treat.

What are you doing for vacation season? Has gas prices slowed you down, and are you working more at home?
