Is It Time For Mrs. Mecomber ??

LOL, I am having a little fun. I was recently interviewed by a journalist for TIME magazine. Yes, the TIME magazine. It was about my involvement with IZEA and the social media. A few other Posties were interviewed as well. I have been very blessed to be able to make some money from my blogging, and my hard work is starting to pay off. I’m not a top-earner– not even close– but I’ve had some great success and I am one of IZEA’s biggest fans.

I’m very excited to see the concept of social media and online advertising take off. I’ve been a big proponent of it, especially as it relates to travel. I do all my travel planning and travel products shopping online, as do most travelers, and advertisers and the tourist industry have been very sluggish in capitalizing on it. I really hope more people become informed through a story from TIME magazine. Blogs are extremely powerful tools for getting the word out! Advertisers are wise to realize this.

Anyway, I’ve been interviewed by magazines before, and have been cut out of the story at the last minute. So, I’m waiting to see what will become of this story. Talking to the journalist was a real pleasure, so if anything, I have thoroughly enjoyed the trip (so to speak). I’ll let you know what happens, if I actually make it into the TIME article! That would be sooo cool, cooler than buying used Harleys! heh heh. The kids were absolutely thrilled that their mom might be in the biggest news magazine in the country. That’s a nice feeling. :D

That is fantastic news! I hope you ‘make the cut’, so to speak. I’m sure you gave an interesting interview, so you’ll be in there.

I was reading your post about Trinity Church (what a coincidence that you found Hercules Mulligan there!) and I followed your link to this post. I’m assuming nothing ever came of this? It would have been cool if it did.

My one claim to fame was when I was quoted by the NY Times. Honest. Here’s a link: http://tinyurl.com/3mhonnb

The last name is different, but my first name is the same … and you’ll definitely recognize my attitude towards government. :)

Hiya akaGaGa: Finding the Mulligan vault was no coincidence. :D

The story you posted is very interesting! Did the Gubment ever force the dump on the people?

Not around these parts. I honestly don’t know if they wound up doing it somewhere else.

I appreciate comments! Please leave yours here.
