Hello Suz! I felt the same way-- why does Wordpress promote Bluehost so? I suppose it may be the nice affiliate bonus. Bluehost has an INCREDIBLE affiliate bonus! But I wish I could wholeheartedly support them. sigh.

Thanks for the info about GoDaddy; I think I'll look into it.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for commenting, too. I always appreciate your conversational comments!

I too have been singularly disappointed in bluehost, which has been disappointing in and of itself since it's so highly recommended by WordPress. Only one of my blogs remains there and it will be leaving after one year (they wouldn't let me out of my contract). I've had GREAT customer service with GoDaddy (they call me on my cell phone with a REAL person if they think something might be amiss, or just to thank me for my order and see if I need help using their one-button Wordpress setup) which was just as shocking to me since they're cheap and the only reason I decided to use them was that I'm lazy and didn't want to look for another company after I registered my domain with them.

Unfortunately, however, I read your lovely blog by RSS so I never notice if you're down. If I notice I'll drop you an email! Good luck!
