Well, we’re not exactly “painting” the town red. We’re not painting anything. Yet. I have two young sons who love the concept of paintball. And my daughters would love it, too. I say “the concept” of it because they haven’t done it yet. There’s a new paintball recreation center opening up in my area, so paintball has been on our minds a little more than usual. A blogger friend of mine took her sons to an arena. They had a lot of fun playing paintball, but the boys got some really nasty bruises. Some of the “older” people got a little aggressive. I suppose that’s bound to happen in an arena… I don’t like it, though.

I would really prefer our own target range practice area here at home. Because we live in town, we cannot shoot firearms. I bought my daughter an archery set for her birthday, but I’d feel a lot safer if my sons had something safer, like paintball. Take a look at the Spyder paintball guns and you tell me these are not cool! I think I’d like one, lol! My sons love the gear, like the masks and vests. Of course, the guns are loved by all. I think a paintball target range in the backyard would make a great recreation area for the kids, don’t you think? And thanks to the Internet, there are tons of discounted paintball supplies (and free shipping at Ultimate Paintball!).

I think we are definitely going to invest in some paintball gear. Some things are better doing at home than in a wild and crazy arena.
