I hear ya…candy was tough for me too. we just don’t eat it. My shot was even more out of the box. Your Candied Ginger is awesome – such a terrific capture.

I have not had young ginger candy for a very long time. I’m sure I love them. It used to be a common candy in Asia.

Melli, I prefer soft candy over hard candy, too. Mmmmm.

A, yes, eating ginger is an old remedy. And I suppose someone in the throes of green-faced, tempest-tossed motion sickness would take ANYTHING for even a little relief. Not that I have any prior experience, noooo.

Daisy– you MUST force your Mommie to post that recipe, or at least email it to me! You MUST! Tell her you will shred the curtains or meow loudly at 2am every morning until she does!

My Mommie likes candied ginger! One year at Thanksgiving she made a recipe for pumpkin pie that had pieces of candied ginger on top.

My grandmother and her sister loved crystallised ginger but I wouldn’t touch it in those days. Now I love it:)

I’ve used ginger for motion sickness for years now, but find it works only for fairly mild cases. I read an article about it in a newspaper, perhaps about 20 years ago now.

Oh my! I’m not much into hard candy — but I surely would have had to give that a try too! I LOVE ginger!!! Yum!
