Photo Hunters: Hope

Photo Hunter

This is a great theme for us: “HOPE,” while we are captives in the throes of cold, dismal weather and on the brink of another year.

All my hope is summed up in this:

Carl Bloch_transfiguration

That’s a painting of Jesus the Messiah, done by marvelous artist Carl Bloch (1834-1890). My hope is in my Lord, that He will return sometime soon.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? 1 Thessalonians 2:19

I have hope for little things, too. I hope to visit here someday. Scotland.

And I hope to see this again, very soon!

Oriental Lilies

And there are so many other things that have hope and that I hope for that I can’t put in pictures: hearing my children’s giggles, enjoying their wit, knowing their devotion to God as they grow older; my employment and my hope to pay off all my debts; so much more!

And now, Lord, what do I hope for? My hope is in You. Psalm 39:7

How did your Photo Hunt go today?

Scotland is truly beautiful and I hope to visit as well one day… My sister and her hubby have visited there a few times since it is not that long of a drive from where they are in Durham. She promised to bring me there on my visit to the UK someday! That’s something to hope for, for me… :-)

A peaceful and hopeful new year to you and to one and all…

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and my picture of “HOPE!” My dogs are so funny and they’re always hoping for something more than a carrot or some other veggie. My husband and I were in Scotland last yr at this time….strange time to go on holiday but it was the only time we had available. It was beautiful!! Our friends are part of the Kennedy Clan and we had such delight spending time with them & seeing their part of the world. Happy 2009 to you!
