Photo Hunters: Spotted

Oh this was a fun one.
I know I’ve used this photo before, but I think it’s perfect for “spotted.” Don’t you think? Taken at Oneida Lake, near Cicero.
Here’s another lake photo. This is Canadarago Lake, near Richfield Springs, NY. It was a neat phenomenon: one side of the lake was sunny, while a snowstorm had formed and was moving toward us from the other side of the lake. The ducks on the lake look like little brown spots on the water.
The objects in the next photo aren’t exactly “spotted,” although I’m sure there’s a spotted one in there. But it looks like the wall is spotted. We saw this amazing butterfly collection at the Museum of Science and Technology in Syracuse. It was beautiful!
This is a watercolor, spotted in areas. I like it. It was on display at an art show in Utica, NY.
And another spotted photo from Utica– boas at the Utica Zoo! YUk!

Nice collection of different types of spotted. Although I have to say – I don’t like the last one too much. I’ve getting a phobia about snakes. Shivers….

Oh boy. The spots in that first shot will ruin your day. Especially if you didn’t notice them in time.

I love all your pictures as usual but the watercolour of the white birds is great! You painted that yourself? I am in awe of whoever did.

I did last week’s this week because I did this weeks last week…
The snow/sunny reminds me of two events that happened in the same place separated by decades.
I used to work in an art store that was, once upon a time, a camping store. Many, many years ago, when I was in high school, we were in the camping shop and I was looking out the front window at a torrential downpour which just started. I said “Look at that rain!”
My mother said “What rain? It’s a beautiful sunny day!”
I looked over at her and she was looking out the side window where the sun was pouring in… Not a raindrop fell on the south side of the building while on the west side, mere feet away, it was barrelling down rain.
Move ahead a couple of decades and I was in the art store, working on the window dressing for the front window (west side) and suddenly it started pouring buckets…. I said “Wow! Look at that rain!” and my coworkers said “What rain?”…
Sure enough, the view out the south window was sunny and bright while out the west window, it was pouring rain! And not a drop fell to the south at all.
How weird is that?

Whoa those are pretty big. I’m scared of snakes but I have touched and held one on my lap. A small snake of course and with the owner next to me! Great entries…
