Ski, Ski, Ski

It’s still looking very good in Upstate New York for skiers here. The snow just keeps on coming and coming and coming…. Of course, we’re supposed to have *only* two months left of winter. I like snow and I like winter, but I do admit that I am tired of the winter heating season. To me, that’s the worst part of winter. But in a couple of months, the sun will come back and the snow will dissipate.

If you just can’t get enough of winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding long after New York’s peaks have turned green, there’s always Aspen. 😀 Aspen is beautiful year round, with trails and slopes open even in the summer. Nice thing is, you can avoid the big, expensive resorts and opt to stay in one of the beautiful myaspenrental.com Aspen vacation rentals available. Vacation rentals by owner, or VRBO, are very popular out there in the heavy tourist areas. They are nice because they are homes maintained by owners, not by indifferent hotel workers. When we travel, we always try to seek out those kinds of “owner” managed places to stay. I think they are cleaner, and they are definitely roomier with more amenities, like a home away from home. The Aspen vacation rentals are huge– some boast 4500 square feet of living space! You could plan a huge family getaway or even a wedding or reunion there! Many have game rooms, media rooms, scads of bedrooms, and beautiful patios or verandas. Even if you didn’t ski, staying at the vacation rental is a treat unto itself.

So if June or July rolls around and you have a strong hankering for shredding the slopes with skis or boards, check out availability for Aspen vacation rentals. The town is absolutely beautiful and promises a stellar vacation experience.
