Photo Hunters: Balanced

Pardon me while I whine: this theme is another hard one! wah! Why can’t we have something like “Victorian” or “urban” or “history”? :D I’d have loads of stuff for those.

Alas, balanced is this week’s theme. Ah well, it’s probably a good thing to be challenged; keeps you sharp! OK, so here’s what I scrambled to provide!

This is the world’s smallest church. It’s in the middle of a pond, in Oneida, NY. It can hold three people! You can read more about our trip here. I’d say the little thing is well balanced– enough for it to float on the water like that.

Here’s my son and daughter, on the moon, balanced despite the obvious lack of gravity. Photo taken at Syracuse’s Museum of Science and Technology.

My post about our visit to Toothpick City at the Syracuse MOST got listed in the top ten at Reddit a few days ago, and my traffic soared. It was great, seeing people from every corner of the world check out the amazing toothpick structures by Stan Munro. I took 250 photos of our trip– couldn’t possibly post them all here! So I posted a few more photos at my other blog, the original New York Traveler, and you can see the entire collection at my Flickr page, too.

Big Day Tomorrow

I’ve been spending the past 32 hours (straight, practically) reformatting my daughter’s new-to-her laptop. (It was used and was full of spyware and trojans). It has been a very, very busy 32 hours… my eyes are swimming from the reformat, driver downloads, security feature downloads, setting up the network, etc. I am trying to teach her how to do all this at the same time. I am exhausted. Maybe I should consider taking those booster supplements like B6 and 7 keto stuff I hear about.

I’m going to need something to boost my energy– we’re planning a big day tomorrow! I have to go to Syracuse for an appointment, and we’ve decided to make a day of it. I’m not telling the kids where we are going– it’s a surprise– but I’ll tell you: MOST. Thanks, Apple, for reminding me about it! We went years ago, when the kids were so young, and I think only the eldest remembers it. My sons will flip when we walk in the doors. I’ll have a lot to report! I am excited. But, I must stop blogging and get some sleep. I’m going to need it.
