Rattlesnakes in New York?!

This is weird! Just this morning, my kids and I were discussing poisonous snakes for a school lesson. We were a little non-chalant about the section on the rattlesnake. My daughter said, “Oh, there are no rattlesnakes in New York!” Imagine my utter surprise when I browsed Adirondack Base Camp and his enthralling narrative of meeting up with the Crotalus horridus. Yes, that’s a REAL name. Check it out at Wikipedia, lol.

Well, you must check out the post at Adirondack Base Camp for the story. The photos are really great– you can almost smell the pines and hear the crunchy leaves! Great job, TourPro! He even took a short video and we can hear the rattle. Ooooooo.
