Save Some Money With Travel Coupons

Travel can be so expensive. For our family of six, we have to plan very carefully or one road trip can blow our budget. Transportation costs, food, accommodations, gasoline, and even the souvenirs can all really add up. For us, the biggest costs are transportation and food. I can’t believe how expensive it is to dine out! A dinner for six at a family-style restaurant can easily cost us $100. Ouch, that really hurts.
Fortunately, we aren’t at the mercy of high expenses anymore. I use Savings.com coupons for as many things as I possibly can. Savings.com is the best coupon site I have found. The site is outstanding– well organized, neat and clean, helpful, and has TONS of coupons. They have savings for such eatery businesses as Red Lobster, Burger King, McDonald’s, Chili’s, Restaurant.com, and others. For travel, the savings are profound: Best Western Hotels, Travelocity, Expedia, Comfort Inn, AARP, Avis, Orbitz, City Sights NY, and so many more. And that’s really only scratching the surface of all the discounts there. There are countless stores and you can find discounts everywhere. Now that the holidays are upon us, there are even more ways to save as stores are offering lots of special deals and discounts on goods and services.
Of course, Savings.com has tons of coupons and discounts for other stores, any store you can think of. They also have a very helpful community where you can ask members if they are aware of certain deals or discounts. Savings.com also has a blog so you’re always informed. This is THE place to go if you want to save some bucks. And Savings.com is absolutely free! There’s no cost to use coupon codes, and membership in the Savings.com community is free (and they welcome new folks). Definitely take a look. I know you’ll be as wowed as I was when I found them!
The Hotel Deal of a Lifetime: Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale

If you’ve been waiting in the wings for a chance to see the beautiful Asia Pacific area this winter, I have incredible news for you: the Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific promotion. Accor, based in France, the European leader in hotels, is known for its exceptional hospitality, travel accommodation solutions for all budgets, and is rated very highly on travel review sites. Accor has more than 4,000 hotels in nearly 100 countries and employees 30 million people worldwide! I think a deal like this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience global travel dreams!
Accor is promoting the 3-day Super Sale from October 27, 2009 to October 29, 2009. On these three days, you can book your travel reservations online for the period of December 9, 2009, to April 10, 2010. Accor is discounting over one MILLION hotel rooms, with rates as low as $30 a night, for the following countries: New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Taiwan, India, Bali, Thailand, Korea, China, Japan, HK, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia. There are different rates for the various Accor hotel brands (such as: the All Seasons and Ibis, the most economical, and best suited for short, weekend stays; Sofitel, one of the most luxurious, suited for special occasions or professional ventures; and a handful of brands between them), so you’ll find something for even the most pinched budget or the most luxurious occasion.
New Zealand, Australia, and Thailand are very popular tourist destinations for Americans and Europeans in the chilly winter months. The prices are really outstanding, and Accor has coincided the 3-Day Super Sale with the extremely discounted airfares across the Asia Pacific area, so it’s a win-win situation on transportation as well as accommodation. The hotels are just beautiful. This is one of the All Seasons Accor Brand hotels, in Wellington, New Zealand. I could spend forever in the gardens!

This is the enchanting Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. I just love the elegant, regional style!

I think Accor has done marvelously, blending the standard-type of hotel accommodations (bed, television, Internet, etc) with the unique flavor and style of the particular region. You really get the Thailand experience when you stay at an Accor in Thailand! And you really get the Parisian experience when you stay at an Accor in Paris! Accor has done exceptionally well, so it’s no wonder they are a leader in worldwide hotel accommodation.
The Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific promotion is running only this week, so if you’ve been waiting for a good deal for travel to Asia Pacific, this is it. I expect with the release of this information, vacancies will quickly fill– so I advise you not delay.

Travel Discounts for Students

When I was a student, I do not recall being aware of discounts for my special age group. Today, the amount of available student discounts- everything from museum admissions to bus fares to travel packages- is staggering. This must be a great time to be a student! Unfortunately, I’m not! And I’m too young to qualify for any senior citizens’ discounts, either! ![]()

Well, if you are a student or a teacher or have a household with students, here’s a travel discount card opportunity you may find handy. It’s called ISIC, the International Student Identity Card, the only internationally-recognized and accepted student identity card. With this card, students can save TONS of money. It makes me want to be a student!
You can save:
- 20% off bike rentals and tours at Central Park Bicycle Rentals & Tours in NYC
- Over $5 off the NY Skyride in NYC
- Free admission to Bronx Zoo on Wednesdays (I wish I’d had that as a student!)
- $2 off admission to the New York Botanical Garden in NYC
- Special $12 rate at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC
- 15% on Amtrak purchases
- 10% at Target
- 50% at Park n’ Fly
- 11% off Macy’s purchases
- $13 off the Hard Rock Cafe menu
- 11% off flights at Jet Blue Airways
and there’s loads more. It’s an excellent deal, if you ask me. The card can be used abroad or domestic, and there are three versions of the card you can purchase, including a special card for teachers and professors. Cards are $22 and can be purchased online. Be sure to do your homework and check out the company background!

Travelocity Promo Code

Hitting the road (or the skies) anytime soon? I’ve got a link for some great savings on travel deals. Check out some great Travelocity promo codes! I spy loads of deals– $25 to $75 airline ticket savings, special offers and vacation deals, deals on car rentals, discounts on hotel rates throughout the United States, and loads more. The site is Savings.com where they have a ton of coupons and promo codes.
Remember what Mrs. Mecomber always says– never buy anything without first checking for coupons and codes online! So here’s another site to bookmark. Savings.com also has lots of discount information on things besides travel. They have information about deals for dozens of stores, including Amazon, NewEgg, Old Navy, Target, 1-800-Flowers, Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, Macy’s, Orbitz, and more. Travel deals are becoming much more common these days (finally!). Coupons are printable through your computer, and promo codes are codes of numbers and/or letters that you type in toward the end of your Internet purchasing order. I never shop without checking for promo codes and coupons. Why pay more then necessary, especially when money is a little tighter these days? Check out Savings.com and be sure to bookmark it for future reference.
