A Florida Vacation to Remember

Here’s a terrific website for discovering luxury deals and convenient accommodations for your next trip to Florida: Ocean Florida. They showcase some of the most beautiful Florida villas and vacation packages I’ve seen. The villas are incredible, something right out of a book. You can rent them for your Florida vacation stay, or even purchase a villa. The villas are nestled in small cul-de-sac areas, very close to major Florida attractions (such as Disney World), but still distant enough from all the crazy traffic and activity.

New Yorkers have a special affinity for Florida. Most of my Mecomber relatives permanently live down there, now. I don’t see how they can tolerate the Florida heat and humidity. I’d much prefer to visit every year, especially come late February in the the dead of New York winter. Ocean Florida offers some attractive packages including “last minute” packages. These packages are geared toward travelers from the UK, as Ocean Florida is managed by Como St Travel, and is based in Romford, Essex. They are one of the largest and most popular service in the UK, blending knowledgeable consultants and great rates. Customer satisfaction is high.

The photos and package deals are incredible. There’s also a terrific Florida guide page, with maps and articles detailing various attractions for the different regions of Florida. So if you’re looking for a place to hang your hat this winter, or are even daring enough to brave Florida’s heat for a summer trip to Disney World, do check out the website. Besides the excellent deals and accommodations, you can glean a wealth of travel information from Ocean Florida.

The Unitard is Very Persuasive

Well. Can’t choose with which hotel to stay? Let Unitard help! And he’d say choose none! LOL. Check out this vacation rental commercial video going viral on the Internet:

Yes, he’s quite persuasive, wouldn’t you say? It’s a new commercial from Vacation Rental.org; word has it that it was banned from the Superbowl ad lineup. Hmmm. Wonder why!

Actually, I agree with the Superhero Unitard. Hotels are, generally speaking, too nasty for me. I like the homey bed and breakfasts, but if you are a regular reader, you know that I dislike hotels. I think they are dirty, just by the fact that so many people from all over the world sleep in them. Eww. Better accommodations are vacation rentals: they are usually cleaner, more personable, much more spacious, and now, thanks to VacationRental.org, rentals are widely available for viewing and reserving. I much prefer a rental unit to a small (expensive) hotel. You can search the website for the rental of your choice.

If you insist on visiting a hotel– beware: I hear the Unitard is roaming about Upstate New York or thereabouts. ;)

Beach Blanket Bingo

Hawaii. Mmmmmm… even the name of the place invokes warm ocean breezes, sandy shores, swaying palm trees, and surfing music! (I am nuts about surfing music). One of my sons is studying history, the time when Hawaii became one of our 50th states. Did you know that Hawaii became the 50th of the United States in 1959? That wasn’t very long ago. And that Christianity became widespread in Hawaii after Queen Regent Ka’ahumanu embraced it in 1824. And that all of the Hawaiian Islands have been formed by volcanoes? And that Hawaii’s island, Mauna Kea, is taller than Mount Everest if you measure from the ocean bottom to the top?

Most of all, do you realize it is 80 degrees in Hawaii RIGHT NOW?!?! That is so unfair!!

I’d love to see Hawaii. Sheesh, I’d love to see Ohio! But if I had my druthers, Hawaii would definitely beat Ohio. I’d love to roam the islands in my grass skirt, hunting down various historical sites, knocking coconuts from the trees, skipping around the jungles with the monkeys….

Doesn’t that photo look gorgeous?

*sigggggghhhh*

Well, if you get there before I do, check out the Maui Resort in, haha, MAUI! It’s stunning, just stunning. The packages are very reasonable, and the perfect place for one of those famous Maui Weddings or honeymoon vacations. And for second honeymoons! See the site for good deals, for wonderful vacation ideas, and for pictures that will make you drool all over your keyboard.
