Hi Mrs M,
Glad the blog title made you laugh, but sorry to disappoint!

The blogrush widget has, I've just checked, brought the princely total of 4 visitors in the past 12 blog posts.
They were syndicated a total of 25,000 times!

Somehow out of all of that I got a "Current credit Balance of 178" wow.

Do you get any readers from Blogrush ?

I'd not heard of the Camillus Park! It looks absolutely perfect, too. We love nature trails, old ruins, and other kinds of "exploration" parks. Thanks for the advice, I think we will make it our next destination when we visit Syracuse again. :D

Mrs. M, sorry you had such a hard time in Syracuse. If you want to show the kids the old Erie Canal, may I recommend the Camillus Erie Canal Park (and Museum), 20 minutes to the west? Parking is limited, but free and easy to locate once you've located the park itself.

The Camillus park is (IMHO) more fun than the Syracuse museum, lots of stone ruins everywhere, nature trails, the beautiful aqueduct is there (which will be eventually restored to working condition), the canal has clean water in it, and the small museum is also free. Go on a nice day (some walking is required) but avoid Saturdays as they are busy.

Even the pay-to-park places were full. Perhaps the crowds were because a scientist from NASA had come to give a free lecture at MOST.

Hmm. I can't picture Syracuse jammed. I don't know why everyone picked the same day you did to head downtown. I'm glad they could direct you to parking and I wish I thought to ask. The free parking off James street was taken when I went.
