Good news for Upstate New York golf aficionados. Tiger Woods is coming to play at Atunyote, the beautiful new golf course at the Turning Stone Resort in Vernon, NY. The Turning Stone Casino and Resort was built and is run by the Oneida Indian Nation of New York State. The golf course gained some popularity when it hosted the PGA Championships a few years ago.

VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) – The world’s number one golfer, Tiger Woods is officially coming to the Turning Stone Resort in August. He is scheduled to play August 24th in the Noah Begay III Foundation Challenge.

Begay is a longtime friend of Woods, the two were roommates while in college at Stanford in the ’80′s. Begay is the only Native American on the PGA Tour. He holds his annual charity skins game at the Turning Stone where four PGA players, including himself play 18 holes to raise money for Begay’s Foundation which supports youth sports and wellness programs for Native Americans in New Mexico and other states.

Begay and Woods will be joined by fellow top PGA players Mike Weir and Camilo Villegas.

Tickets are on sale for $330, however. With only 3,000-4,000 available for sale. See more details here.
