Found an interesting little video from 1937, about RV’ing. The statistics are amazing, if true. One million Americans RV’ed in the 30s? What really blew me away was that a week’s parking in a lot was $1, and electricity 25 cents! I can imagine how affordable gasoline was then, too.
John Steinbeck did something very similar, and wrote about about his exploits, Travels with Charley in Search of America. I blogged about it a little here.
