Watch Your Balans

Ugh, the past few days, I’ve been at the computer ALL day. Ugh ugh! It’s not good for my posture and it’s certainly not good for my back. I’ve just had so much to do! I’ve been mulling over for a long time getting some kind of spine-friendly chair to sit in while I work. I’ve heard good things about the Balans chair, but haven’t seen them around until I saw them at DesignsForComfort.com. If you have never heard of a Balans chair, they are a specially-designed chair (made from a Scandinavian inventor) where you rest on your knees/shins. This is supposed to take pressure off your spine as you sit. Here’s a photo. They are wild-looking, aren’t they? I have heard that it takes some getting used to, but they can be comfortable. Right now, anything is better than that stiff old desk chair I use right now!

Balans and many other quality chairs can be found at new Designs for Comfort. They are dealers for Varier furniture from Scandinavia (a country of excellent quality furniture!). The chairs are REALLY cool-looking! They must have been a blast to design and create. Some are like works of art themselves. They are ergonomically designed for comfort. If your looking for comfort AND class, check them out!

I wonder how my bad knees would handle it…

Oh my those do look comfortable. I too have been at the computer way too much. So much that yesterday I simply had to stop and lie down for a while.

I may just hop over there and check these out.

    Thanks for the great review.

    Blessings for a pleasant Sunday!

How funny…I read the first lines of this post and instantly sat up straighter in my chair. LOL! It’d be cool to try out this chair just to experience something different. Thanks for sharing!
