		<description>Some people don't like the black, volcanic sand, but I think it looks exotic. The real WOW factor of this island though comes in mid-winter, when you can visit the snow-capped mountain (Mt. Teide, over 12,000 feet) and, only an hour or so later, be on the coast where it's warm enough to go to the beach. I've lived on Tenerife for 16 years if there is anything else you'd like to know.</description>
